All homes have working wells pumping between 3 and 20 gallons per minute. Access to NID (Nevada Irrigation District) water is available to many homes as well. 12 homes have ponds on their property fed by a community irrigation ditch.
About half of the homes have high speed cable internet access from SuddenLink. Others receive internet via microwave connection with Wolf Mountain. Gigabit internet access to the community is in progress.
Round Valley Estates is zoned for small numbers of livestock, horses, chickens, etc. making youth participation in FFA (Future Farmers of America) or 4-H very convenient.
Electricity is provided by PG&E and the lines are regularly cleared of tree interference. Gas is provided by residential propane tanks. Residents of Round Valley Estates may participate in the negotiated reduced gas rate allowed for the adjacent Alta Sierra community. Waste treatment is provided by septic tanks and leach lines on each property.
Our roads maintenance is funded by an annual self-assessment. The current rate is $300/year. All roads within the community are paved.
Round Valley Estates is a very secure neighborhood. It has only one public entrance (plus two fire-fighter access entrances) Residents frequently walk the neighborhood for exercise and a community watch program is active. These elements combine to provide a very secure environment.
